Getting started,

How an old Marine veteran learned to sew and is turning a hobby into a full time career, and loving what he does.

A couple years ago I bought a Bolt gun, a RPR 6.5CM thinking I would get into PRS. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Anyway, I looked at the prices of bags and other equipment and couldn’t afford it. So, I got my wife to show me how to thread her machine and I began to sew. The very first project was a wonky looking but functional barricade bag. Ugly as sin, but its mine. But I figured I could do better, so I did a little research and came up with the proper materials and went back at it. The next bag was much better quality and I’d figured out that I like to sew.

Jump ahead to, now I have my own machine and a sewing space. A couple friends had seen my bags and had bought some for themselves. So I re-branded an existing market place site I had and made a few bags for that site. They sold fairly quick, so I made more, with a few other items I’d started making. This whole time I’ve got my lovely wife’s support and encouragement. Plus I was starting to make more than just beer money.

In March of 2020 we got laided off from work. My wife and I talked about it and decided “Hey lets take this as big as we can” So I started getting serious. We re-branded again to TEN21 Tactical in honor of us. It’s our wedding anniversary. Then I bought some better equipment and more materials. I did some more research and study to allow me to make more and better gear.

I now offer many more products than just shooting bags. One of the ones i’m most proud of is our 2-1 convertible wide sling. Great quality for a good price, and that’s how I like to provide my equipment. The best quality for a reasonable fee.

We are now 3 years later, working gun shows, and selling on line. The product line is growing and we are even supplying shops in California and Thailand. We are also starting to branch out into the Airsoft Market.

I am also very happy to say that My beautiful wife Rebecca has recently joined me full time and is sewing right there along side me. So with the support of family, friends and our Awesome customer base, we will see just what the future holds for us !! OOh Rah!! Semper Fi !!
